On April 5 St. Louis residents will vote to either abolish or continue the 1% earnings tax that provides more than 30% of the City’s general fund—currently the largest source of revenue. Police, fire, environmental and other services could be affected. Mayor Francis Slay will give the City’s perspective on the upcoming election. Joining him are Amy Blouin, executive director of the Missouri Budget Project, and Tim Logan, Post-Dispatch reporter.
