Remembering the Star-Times
St. Louis lost The St. Louis Star-Times, one of America’s great newspapers, 60 years ago this summer. The anniversary of its passing will be celebrated by the St. Louis Media Archives, a joint project of the Press Club of Metropolitan St. Louis and the St. Louis Public Library. Hear about the Star-Times’ colorful history from former staff member Jon Hagar and enjoy historical artifacts from the Media Archives collection.
Time, Date: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 13
Place: Schlafly Branch, St. Louis Public Library 225 N. Euclid Avenue (at Lindell, one block east of Kingshighway) St. Louis, Missouri 63108. Parking, at $1 hourly, is available in the parking garage connected to the library. Enter the garage from Euclid Avenue.
Cost: Free and open to the public.
Directions (from west): take I-64(40) East, take the Kingshighway Blvd exit, turn slight left onto S. Kingshighway Blvd, turn right onto Lindell Blvd., take the second left onto N. Euclid Ave., 225 N. Euclid Ave is on the left.
