St. Louis Press Club meets with journalists and journalism professors from the former Soviet Republic, Tajikistan

Press Club president, Alice S. Handelman (first row, second from right) and treasurer, Benjamin Lipman (second row, third from right) met with a delegation of journalists and journalism professors from the former Soviet Republic, Tajikistan, during an information-sharing visit sponsored by the U.S. State Department on February 5th.
Journalists' legal rights and constraints, personal experiences and educational training, as well as purposes and practices of press organizations were discussed and compared during the two-hour exchange, which was arranged through
the World Affairs Council in St. Louis.
